For the Summer season 2014 First South West has split the previously circular service 300 into three parts. The remaining service 300 links Land's End with St Just and St Ives. Service 1/1A serves Penzance - Land's End and service 17 serves St Ives - Penzance, with 17B providing open top services also serving Marazion. To promote the service First are also trialling the use of a vintage bus on the 300. On Tuesday 12th August 2014, preserved 1963 Western National Bristol Lodekka 824 KDV prepares to turn right onto Tregenna Hill from Gabriel Street, St Ives, and make it's way up to The Malakoff bus station. I am pleased to say, that on this occasion at least, the bus was carrying a very healthy load.
